The weather - again

Hi all, we're in Portugal, currently in Figueira da Foz on the west coast, supposedly making our way south from the Douro valley to the Algarve. However it's overcast and pretty windy here today and the forecast doesn't look that good going south. We've got 2 more weeks before we have to head for home in Brittany. We're not sure whether to carry on down to Lisbon and then the Algarve or whether to go back up to Porto and around that area. We came here for sun and warmth. Ok I know it's February! But Brittany in February can be grim. So where do you advise us to go for the best weather in Portugal or Spain or France? TIA

Thanks scallywag15. So not Ayamonte today then! Think we'll go to Lisbon whatever and look again at the forecast in a few days.
We heard from another van couple we met that it's super busy with vans in the coastal Algarve. Have you found that?

Very wet and overcast in Alportel this morning. Heavy rain during the night. On a more positive note the site manager mentioned that things have quietened down a bit in the last few days. Several unoccupied places last night. 8€ a night without electricity

Yes very busy all along the Algarve.
Never seen so many French out.
So you should feel at home
