I have two regular propane gas bottles in my gas locker and it's becoming a regular pain having to remove the connected bottle to see how full it is.

The four-year-old is fussy about here ice cream and I don't want warm beer when were away from EHU. I don't fancy waking up in the morning and having to change a gas bottle when its horrible and dark outside and the heating won't come on.

I've just come across this and am a bit concerned about some of the things I've read about them like the need for expensive filters and oil from various sources fouling the regulator. Are there any alternatives ?

Also, is the crash protection sensor prone to being over-sensitive and switching the gas off when you over a bump in the road ?

Am I assuming correctly that the gas hoses I would need to fit my two Spanish Cepsa refillable gas bottles are the regular ones that I use which are connected to the gas tap

Thank you for your help in advance.

Well advisable to fit the filters to the Truma Duo, they have come down a lot in price Autogas 2000 sell them for £40 each the TrumaDuo you can get for under £200. You will also need anti-rupture pigtails to connect to your bottles if you want to drive with the gas on, about £35 each.
Never know the crash sensor go off even on the roughest roads, had them on the last 2 vans.

I've used over 1500 ltrs of LPG since having Alugas fitted in 2016... ( Keep a record)..
No filters, no hiccups with crash sensor...
No issues with fridge ? I'm full time and mostly on solar and LPG... as opposed to EHU

Ours is vertical, never trips in France, mainly on our roads in Scotland.

Well that's put me off ! Nice idea though but if it has potential issues with bad road surfaces it's a no-no. Thanks very much for your replies
