Well thank goodness for that! We've finally managed a trip away!
Some of you may remember that almost exactly a year ago we had to leave our van in France with a crocked gearbox. It took us three months to get her home, four months to find a box, a month to get it fitted, and an arm and a leg were lost along the way.
We did get an overnight at Christmas but that was only up the road in North Wales and now we've had our first proper-ish trip since April 2011, at last.
It was only to Devon, but 500 miles covered, ears cocked for strange noises (there were loads, but none which stopped us) and she behaved almost perfectly.
True, the gas heater stopped working, and the lights were in 'will they, won't they' mode, the little bracket holding the bike rack broke, and there was a draught from the skylight that I don't remember from before, but she's an elderly lady and we'll allow her some foibles.
Anyway, we had a lovely time, and we're raring to go again. The blog will be up and running again with stuff about The Rosabella rather than gossip about boring stuff like weddings, engagements and jobs.
And we may even make it to a meet one of these days!! :thumb:
