Amazingly it's raining here in Ireland.Water is coming in under the bedroom window and running down inside the 'wallpapered' surface.
I can't see and moisture on the roll up blind inside the frame.I guess it's getting in at the top and running down the inside of the frame.
Rain pretty much vertical so no point moving I think.Just mopping up excess with towel.
3 year old Chausson.
I've put the heating on.
I guess water you can see better than that you can't.

Can you cover the top where you think its coming in with some gaffer tape or something. Maybe have a look at top of the window for damaged sealant. Do you have an awning you could pull out a little, if its on the same side. I know I wouldn't want to be doing nothing.

My Kontiki, yes I know... Konleaky, had water entering at the bottom of the kitchen window.
When I removed the window to reseal it was the outer top which had failed.
In at the top, run down the wooden side rails then emerge at the bottom
I had to replace the bottom and side wooden batterns

If caught early enough, it is a simple job to strip out the window, clean it and reinstall with new mastic.

Its having its hab check back in the dealers early November.
I wondered about duct tape - will it stick to a wet moho? Will it damage the paintwork?
Hopefully its draining down and will dry out o.k .

Just in passing, I found that the "T Rex" brand duct tape that you can buy online, sticks much better than the cheap supermarket stuff. It also comes off cleanly in my experience, the downside is that it doesn't stretch much. It is also the same colour as Hymer bumpers, in case anyone, er, should need to know that for some reason.

When I used duct tape a few years ago for a similar situation it left stains on the body work. It was on for about 2 months until I had time to fix the window.

For a week or so I would have thought it was ok. I suppose it depends on what the bodywork is made of.

Can also recommend that its good for bumper use

Thinks I have said this on here before but, the ingress is probably between the the window plastic and the squashable rubber seal round the edge.
These seals get permanently deformed by
Being parked in sunshine with windows locked shut for example.
Even when on nightlight the top of the seal is still slightly compressed.
We had it in Greece and put gaffer tape outside along the whole join of window frame, window etc and no more water !!
Had a new window on return home.
Good luck.
PS it was also horizontal rain that showed ours. It’s the pressure plus water that forces past the seal.
Mitch.

Just had a similar problem in high wind and rain.
Traced leak to top of widow frame to body seal these are the sietz windows on 2009 Autotrail
Temporarily taped over.
Removed the inner vent/grills to access the inner frame screws that secure to and clamp the outer frame, 1 screw at problem area had striped and others had not been aligned with screw sockets in outer frame and just gripping on insulation
secured all screws and tested for leaks with quite high water pressure from hose from all angles leak cured.
Decided to check screws on all other window frames and found quite a few not tight.
It is very easy to prise of the vents/ grills to access and check screws there is no silicon used on these frames as they have integral seal.

You will find that the screws that go through the blind trim and into the window frame have come loose, that's seems to be a common thing on Chausson after a time.

We used electrical tape when we same problem a few years ago. Gave our Chausson a go faster red stripe.

fixed under warranty.

just make sure they do a thourgh damp check cheque all around and under the window.

The internal wall coverings are water proof so a real rusk any moisture trapped in the wall will remain
