It may have been quiet last night but tonight Motorhomefun got told 'by the management' to turn the kareoke down or turn it off because the paying punters could not hear Joe Pasquale in the main entertainment tent!

We even got told off twice.

A good night was had by all, in and around the Funster Marquee.

Our first Funster Meet, looking for a yellow guy in shades wearing a sharp dark suit, instead we met the real Jim and Sian, gawd you guys go the extra mile to make it such an enjoyable and friendly meet.

The bacon butties were wonderful this morning as again was the hospitality a real pleasure to meet so many like minded folk and put faces to names.:thumb::thumb::thumb:

So a big thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome and again to our wonderful hosts Jim and Sian, and rally Marshalls Bob & Jane.

Looking forward to our next one.

Lovely evening here now the suns back out, safe journey to all on the road tomorrow, off in the morning, Norfolk and some serious birding beckons over next 10 days or so.

We managed the 15 miles or so trip home without an overnight stop or needing a diesel fill up.
More faces put to more names. Daughter and grandkids enjoyed their first Fun weekend, too.
Thanks to Jim, Sian, Bob and Jane for your efforts. without hard working hosts / marshalls it would just have been somewhere to park, rather than a great weekend.

Back home in Dumfries after a great weekend.

Firstly id like to say a big Thank you to Bob, Jane, Jim and Sian for making us feel really welcome and organising a great weekend. Love the cake stand on Sat morning thanks to all the bakers.


Had a great night in the fun tent on Sat night meeting some old and new friends. Not sure if it was the loudness of the signing or the tone of it that made then ask us to turn it off. If they thought the signing was bad they should have seen Ken dancing .

Safe trip home everyone and hope to see you all soon.

Ambilkate was great to get round to actually talking to u this weekend, and meeting Smudgy at last and loved being with the usually crackers and meeting new ones ....

Andrea and John aka Jaws and mrs Stig your singing voices were wasted lol u should of been on stage with Joe.... no u shouldnt would miss you .L....I know a song that will get on your nerves, get on your nerves ....

I reckon Warners must have been getting their own back for Saturday last night after the bars shut because there was a lot of banging and crashing. Sounded like they were dismantling the marquee but I guess it was only the bar.

Well, managed to get ther at last knocklings, still there will be other times.

The new aquisition and us bonded nicely, we bought afew bits for it and had it WOW tuned, DEFINATLY a difference on the 120 miles trip home.

It was a great end to the large show rallies. We had a great weekend. The help we received from Bob and Jane was fantastic. Jane was determined to offer a warm welcome to every rallying funster this meant she spent two long days glued to the spot waiting for them. But.. she didn't waste time between arrivals as she accosted many passers by selling them the benefits of our great club, she succeeded too and signed a few up :thumb: Once the Funsters had arrived Jane handed them over to Bob who walked many miles parking every funster up and ensured they knew who their neighbours were and where the water and elsan points were located. :thumb:

A big thanks also to the Sundowners for the use of their event shelters, which when added to the club marquee and another that Bob and Jane kindly bought along we had a massive area to house all those partying funsters Thanks to Gary and Barb for the entertainment system and thanks to all those that helped with the Big Sunday Breakfast (200 rolls and 400 rashers) especially to Joyce helping Jane with all that buttering

Thanks to everyone that attended, it was great, Sunday was tinged with sadness when many realised it will be well into 2012 before we meet up again. :Sad: Till then :thumb:
