We made it here ok but what a journey
If you have a Garmin 465t sat nav then bin it or sell it. I used it because I had the poi loaded but as usual despite being set to truck it managed to take us on roads barely as wide as the van.
The options of shortest or fastest route are a joke!!! Is there a difference? Needs the ability to exclude minor roads.

Anyway it has rained constantly since lunch so everyone is indoors but 20 vans here and free I believe
A flot bleu with language selection on site.

We did Lac Du Val Jolly last year for 2 free nights, nice complex a bit like centre parks, had a nice meal in one of the restaurants.

Hi Andy & Jacs,

Sorry that I have missed the thread until now, but hope that you are both having a great time.

Regarding the Truck Sat Nav wanting to take you back onto the Autobhan, rather than follow the river, I found this with the TomTom Truck maps too. To get round it, I route planned on the laptop using MS Autoroute, and entered the coordinates into the TT. This took us along the route we wanted to go, and not the route the TT wanted to take us. I did once use the bus setting rather than the truck, and that was absolutely spot on.

With the Chinese Sat Nav using the iGo software, I have programmed the MH for 7.49 tonnes, as programming at 7.5 tonnes seems to often take us out of the way.

It's worth turning down the Rhine in Koblenz and visiting Boppard and Sankt Goar

Plenty of Stelplatz and camping but very busy around Sankt Goar this weekend for the Rhine in Flames, we are on camping Loreley Blick, Bacharach is deffo worth a visit.
