I have told everybody before about trying to tow a car on an A Frame through the Mont Blanc Tunnel - it is an absolute NO NO!

Today, Mark Bowes from F1RV has just told me that one of his drivers was stopped yesterday attempting to go through the tunnel from France - he was stopped and told very specifically NO he was not allowed to 'A' frame a car through the tunnel - so after several hours of fruitless negotiation he finally gave up and said that he would turn around and go back into France.

At which point the French Police arrived and said NO he was not allowed to A Frame the car in France either!

He was made to stop there whilst he unhitched the car, dismantled the A frame and leave the car where it was (he was driving solo) - the car has now been impounded and F1RV has had to send another driver out there to get it back!

Can people please take this on-board once again - you are NOT under any circumstances allowed to tow a car on an A Frame through the Mont Blanc Tunnel!
