We turned up to the Euro tunnel nice and early and went straight to the pet centre where the dogs and their documentation were checked all OK. Since we had not pre booked they were able to do this for us and oh what a mistake it was not to book in advance. €336.00 for the one way trip. Next time I must make sure were booked in advance.

Eurotunnel .. Rapidly becoming a euphemism for daylight thievery !

I actually heard someone say to a trader after a silly high price was quoted.. 'F off mate, who do you think you are ? Eurotunnel ??'

And why miss an opportunity to have a feel of some ones naggers ! ROFL !!!

Oh It was always 'When you have them by the short and curlies, their hearts and minds will follow' round our way !

Last year I made a mistake and instead of booking our return journey Calais to Folkestone I booked Folkestone to Calais. When I arrived at Calais Eurotunnel they pointed this out and said I would have to buy a completely new ticket for over £200. I refused and we jumped back in the motorhome, drove to McDonalds and, making use of their free WiFi, booked a ticket online for less than £90 travelling on exactly the same train as we had planned.

That cost is more than what ive paid for a weeks holiday. What a rip off.

Is there a day 2,3 and 4 somewhere as I cant see it?

Yes. I didn't get a chance to promote them on any boards or media as was just concentrating on sleeping and driving, if I wasn't doing one I was doing the other, Oh and occasionally eating.

Here are the links to them:

good to know that you got back safely, must have been so worrying for you both, but hopefully dad will start to recover now that he has his family around him..
looking forward to meeting up in dorset again.. :)

In the circumstances you were in you don't think about saving money though do you?

I think by then Ann is going to need a break so have told her we are going no matter what.

Really looking forward to it myself. Meet up with some of the best friends we have ever had :)
