We've built this local guide off the back of this thread

The idea is you tell us about the things we should do or see in YOUR AREA.

We could easily import every campsite or CL into this and it would be like any other directory. But that misses the point. This is a directory of your local knowledge. We don't want a list of all the pubs in your town, we want to know the name of the BEST PUB and maybe even a menu recommendation, Same with sites CL and walks etc.

Hopefully we can grow this in to a really nice resource. (y)

Browns Pie shop added as requested, potential for this to become a great resource is here Jim.

I even managed to add the web link and a photo from the iPad with no issues.

I couldn't view that, 'insufficient privileges'.

I want to add Hartsholme Country Park but I failed and have no photos. And insufficient privileges .

Will try and add more later Jim, M reminding me I have an appointment with a paint brush.

I went to look at the local guide.

If I clicked onto "The local guide" via the forum listing I can see the postings, but in each posting there is no "Quote" buttons. Which means I cannot add content to the list. And there is a sort of half greyed out label at the bottom of the page saying "Insufficient privileges to reply".

However if I go in via the "Local Guide" from the toolbar at the top of the page I get a much better page, with more detail AND the quote buttons are there, no "insufficient privileges" label. Which means, I think, that the problem lies with the code used to go to the pages from the forum tag.

Jim Chrome on android tablet.
clicked on Waldo thread and bar saying you have insufficient privilege to post at bottom right - read what old mo posted and gave it a like which it accepted.

Jim the plot thickens. Accessed the Lincoln thread from local guide tab and it allowed me to post.
Checked on what's new nothing there.
Selected another 'local guide' thread from what's new = insufficient privilege to post.

Jim

Can you tell me exactly wher you see that message, I thought I'd sorted that yesterday. Cheers

There are lots of great restaurants in Kelso but my favourite is The Waggon (next to the Police Station).

Lovely walk through the edge of the woods from the north end of the seafront at Weston-super-Mare through to Sand Bay, Kewstoke, great little cafes at either end....

We are not far from there too.
Eltham Palace is great.
Shooters Hill for a walk and a view of London.
Knowle Park, in Sevenoaks just down the road for a walk and a chat with the deer.

Just been trying to navigate the local guide.
Is there a map? As it makes no sense as I don't know where anywhere is.
I think I am being thick and don't understand how to use it.
