started when I was 11 with my parents-forgot to stop!been real one since 1980!
My first real camper was a Devon Eurovette,a great conversion, simple and uncomplicated, like me! We traveled Europe inc. Scandinavia, with no trouble but once we landed in UK it started to misbehave.Usual problems dropping valves and distributor acting up,but oh what fun, learnt a lot about mechanics with it. When I sold it 6 years later I lost nothing it went for the original purchase price. If I had 'mothballed' I could have sold it for 10 times the price!
What will they fetch in 12 month time?
We then later, bought a Xplorer on watercooled diesel model called a 'Wedge' by some VW fans. My kids grew up with it and now my eldest daughter now reupholsters 'Dub boxes' for a pal of hers who restores them.
Were are the new iconic vehicles going to come from now?
