We're now in Holland pitched up on a marina.

It was full when we arrived so we parked in the overflow and went biking. We had a ferry crossing first.

Standing room only!

Then cycled through the national park of Veluwezoom.

No photos, strangely. (It was so busy, don't recommend going on a sunny Sunday, that we didn't stop).

Except for a stop to look at some exclusive apartments that were for sale (not for us though).

We arrived back at the marina and an official place was available. We moved and booked in. There's a barbie and music on this evening. We declined the Barbie (we have to use up food before the Tuesday night ferry crossing. Eight hours without leccy) but we have the free music, and very good they are.

Last night was our last night this side of the water until we cross back later this month or in October.

We spent the night on an ACSI campsite at Brielle. Drove in past lots of industry but the town itself (it's own little island) is very pleasant.

Biked yesterday and had a walk round this morning.

After our walk we had a quick stop off to get some wine boxes for the UK.

Then ... we went out on a long spit of land between the Hook of Holland port and Europort for Martin to go fishing.

We were here!

Parked on the compass turning circle ...
But to get to that ferry ...

We had to go this way!

There was some big stuff floating past.

And a major road section to descend to fill the gap!

We're now "on the other side" looking back across.

And Martin's out fishing again. He has two pot smoking, wine drinking companions today .

We're now in the UK and probably as good a time as any to put this thread to bed.

Many thanks for the thread. The revelation for me was discovering such interesting places in southern Norway - my unschooled impulse would have been to head north. Not so I now know.

I'm happy it was of some use. I just wish I could do a thread like you do, but I have tried to find more info this time, made easier by the multitude of English information boards.
