Voila,(y)

Stunning bike - any issues with the Dura rear bearings? I replaced mine at great expense a couple of years ago and they're rumbling again - will let them go and stick to my Mavics on the Cervelo.
The C59 is full Campag Super Record which will be interesting after 10 years of Shimano.
Spray job is this one - just need the legs to ride it now....

Nice cooling breeze of the lake... Spotted a pair Carthago's from Austria.
A little annoyed as have been told we can't feed the ducks!?!? I am outraged!:(

I guess it's to stop them wondering around site... Out of order though.....I'm a big fan of St Francis after we visited Assisi a few years ago... If you can't feed the likle birdies what chance is there for the humanity!

The idea was to go into Iseo town for a look around and dinner ( we are just staying outside) so of we went but got as far as the pair of Carthago vans with Austrian occupants..had a chat and out came the Grappa and numerous toasts began God knows to what!...that is as far as we got.

One of the women a domestic goddess, plates of food just kept appearing along with more Grappa toasts and more wine. Will attempt to get into town today!

The awning on their vans ( one hired) one i 138 which they have had 4 months. Had niffty strip led lighting all along the casing...have never seen this before is it standard? Its in pic attached

We had a swim in lake yesterday it's lovely...

Our new Austrian friends left this mourning as mighty peed of...Wolfgang had been sitting on the beach having s quiet heart to heart with his mates 12 year old daughter who is having issues with parents (growing pains:)) . When Dutch people camped behind got uppity saying that this section of beach private. Which it turned out was correct....but to object to people quietly talking a bit unnesesary!

Now Wolfgang is the ultimate host had been imbibing all day and was three sheets to the wind. He tore lumps out of the Dutch. Site Staff where involved. So this morning they have left...

Maybe just as well as my head splitting open. But tonight will not be as much fun:(

Did i mention the bells?:(

Not sure why but French and Germans have a thing about church bells. Not one lay in all the way down to Italy! Worse example was last Sunday on a german aire and at 6 am of they went of right outside our vans door! Then on the hour every hour:(

Personally think it's a guilty conscience Whereas in Italy bells go off at a far more civilised 12 midday

Saturday rained all day so went clothes shopping for some Italian stylee...I've put so much weight back on nothing looks good on me:(

Today beautiful again, market day in Iseo. Its a lovely little stylish town.., went for a cycle ride and then resting, reading on beach plus a swim
It's nice being able to relax and live a little without moving on everyday...
.

We move on tomorrow just up the road to camping Covello hopes iys ss mnice as this lobely little site. Going on a boat trip to island Tuesday as you can take your bikes....

Have got a taste for Grappa now in a big way! Prices generally seem a bit more reasonable on this lake then Garda

Moved up the road to camping Covelo @ 32e a night £22.70. Cheap for August, Clean facilities, right on the lake but a little further out of town so will use bikes rather then walk. It has a well reviewed good value restaurant which we will try tonight. Downside road noise, should be OK at night we hope. If we are to come back would stay at camping Iseo, smaller, beautifully tended, 42e but more convenient, quiter, smarter.

Mois appreciation of Strudel has been superceed by Grappa!

http://www.lifeinitaly.com/wines/grappa.

Lighter 5e lidl in fat bottle OK but much nicer. Smother darker version @ 10e a bargain.... would love to bring some to 2016 Dorset meet for the whisky connoisseurs to try ( you know who you are :)!) But I fear that it will not last the distance so tough!:(

Oh! Donut peaches here are yummy

Covelo not a good choice so moving on in the morning...its just to noisy! (Train and traffic) no way as nice as tranquil camping Iseo. Restaurant average to be honest... Moving to aire in Salo to enjoy the evening there. Shame it's not Thursday but due in Fornella then. Thursday night is lively with fireworks and live music..lovely atmosphere

Our German friends will be there as well... Lovely couple but Adolph has some bizarre tastes let me tell you! While moi's tastes are discrete but relatively normal Adolph's are bizzare for a good looking lad. As his preferences are for ( no polite way to say this I'm afraid!) fat ugly ladies of the night..where truly the money exchange you would think would be in the opposite direction!

Best book of the holiday so far: Joe Nesbos " the Son" probably his best book and way ahead of his others IMO

Really hot here!

TTFF Funsters!:)

Alan worked with a young German lad a few years back who was a "chubby chaser"

It may well of been Adolph:)

Alas the best laid plans of mice and men!...we never left today. As last night was a bit of a disaster. Mrs Mental OD'd on the sedative I administer when going nightcrawling.. Mois fault I guess! The hospital where very good though.....the police not so understanding. Cash changed hands:(

Forgiveness was very expensive!:(

So hot we decided to stay on as an aire not attractive when temps in mid 30's

So a cycle ride to catch ferry to visit island for lunch and a ride around. Then ferry back to Isolo for drinks...

Slept well, kept windows closed and fan on all night..this site growing on moi

Arrived Fornella thursday. Very hot! Seen more English here then on the whole trip it's a very popular site. ( but expensive @£45)

Beautiful large shaded pitch. Very tranquil even in August. Time spent on beach or pools. Can only cycle first thing or in evening as far to hot! Upper 30's and 33 deg the other nite at 10!

Day one chopped end of finger with bread knife so no swinmong for me!
Bought a rubbber finger from pharmacy so that's OK now, not being able to go in water a little frustrating in these temps.

Would prefer to come in June it would be cheaper and not so hot but wife works in education so stuck with it

While the 3 sim works better than any other sim we have used here it's slow so pics don't load to well..

Adolph alas was already banged up by the time we arrived. There are 10 of us here now...….what with Adolph banged up and not enough sedative to put out the lot of em, so mois
nightcrawling activities curtailed:(

Arrivederci funsters!:)

Great pics JM, glad your having a good time - even with a rubber finger :LOL:

Rubber finger was a life saver in this heat!:) alas it is nearly no more and lost the other two from the packet of three:D
( swimming with an open would not really on)
Long lunch in Bills Bar...heading back to beach soon as its cooler there under the trees. Dinner tonight at the excellent Baie de Vento. Into Salo tommorow for live music and fireworks. Then friday dinner booked at camping Moleno. That for a campsite has a great restaurant ( booking essential)

Camping Moss next door to Fornella, less facilities but right on the lake and @ £32 a night far more resonable. Another site l we really like, camping Tonini near Malchesine

Thats hard as we toured down slowly...but will get back in 2 days if we push it, comfortably in 3. As we go through Switzerland which is a day quicker I think.

Talking to friends of our kids who work here all season, June was really nice 32-35, July way to hot August better then July but I'm finding it hot.....

The famous rubber finger! ( some may say infamous):D

Thanks for that Eddie
We're booked on the Tunnel at the end of the month for 13 nights, meant to be going to Brittany, but the weather at the moment there (and here) is rubbish.
Looking at alternatives, further South, which may have better weather.

Regards
Robert
