I had a pot noodle for my lunch yesterday. ....but as all my french and nederland neighbours were eating outside i emptied the pot in to a bowl inside the van before taking it outside 😁 ....one doesn't want to appear common 🤣🤣
One must keep up appearances even when standards slip. We ate ours behind closed blinds 😃😃

One should clarify that mine WAS a genuine full pedigree golden wonder pot noodle and not one of the poor imitations 😉🤣🤣
Steady your nationality will come into question, next you will be paying for parking 😂😂

Ah, so the pics of delicious food are the edited versions of the whole menu.

And can we be sure the pics are not lifted from a cookery book?

Well we didn’t get all the snags done so having to stop over till tomorrow.
To be honest I’m quite tired as it’s hard work doing nothing so didn’t fancy the 2hours plus journey, better to do it in the morning.
The good news is we get to order of the local Chinese again which was very nice 👍.

Must be quite a list you had then, all minor things were they?

I delivered our MH to our garage this morning and the owner looked out at the rain, shrugged and said English weather. They cannot get it under cover, too tall. Fair enough I can wait.

Was it the same weather there for Mr. Porky?

To be fair they started at 8am and didn't stop till 5pm but it just seems that it was too much for 1 day. I prefer them to be thorough and precise so if I'm sleeping in a yard here or at whitchurch it really does not matter to us. Plus the chinese was lovely again (passed under the gate).

As we are now in lockdown and the journey has halted.
I would like to thank all the fun members who have followed our journey and helped with ideas and recommendations on the journey in the uk, France and Germany.
We may start again in December if we are allowed to travel, safely of course.
Thank you
Gareth and Phil.

Yes, thank you
Still put over the point that you and Phil should look at a C4 film crew to cover your *adventures* and gastronomic exploration's ( plus spats as to who does what!) would make great 4pm to 6 pm telly, if not thanks for the places, the stops and the architecture! Look forward, like everyone else to 2021 ( and if you go down the film route a mention in despatches would suffice!) Look forward to 2021!

Ha ha it’s a great idea but we have seen so many reality tv shows that makes you think why did you make your life available to others to criticise. Great idea but no thanks.

Been getting away since 2008
Whitchurch isn’t so bad.
Great thread, enjoyed reading about your travels.
We’ve only had a fortnight in August 😩
Looking forward to next year though.

Thanks for your thread (y)

How were the provisions from the bakery at Ingleton? Any specific recommendations or disappointments.
We stay on the 'Aire' there from time to time and always visit the bakery.

All of the breads are amazing but especially the whole grain sour dough. The sausage rolls are very nice as well.
