Kewl! Now do you know where we can get an EU Highway code form?

The one that interests me is the Priorite a Droit (that's probably wrong but you may know what I mean)

Is it a White square with a thin red cross on it? The only reference I can find is a white square (in a diamond postition) with a yellow diamond in the centre. So what is the white/red thing I have seen? It is not a cross roads - as far as I can make out

18 out of 20 also. Although even after driving all over the continent for more than 40 years there are a couple that I have never seen.

I've been travelling in Europe since 1963 and I have only seen about 10 of those signs.

It would have been a better test if the signs were met on a daily basis rather than once every 50 years.

Hi there 17/20

I have toured much of the usual countries in Europe most year since 1964 and i have spend 2 - 6 months there for the last 15 years however there are three signs I have never seen.

No 8 - concentric circles - town nearby
No 9 - mouse - resident of area
No 17 - bollard - mooring

Also I was not aware of the difference in the UK and Ru sign No 15 and only got it right by guesswork.

At my age I learn about 5 new things everyday but I fortunately I permanently forget about 29 things.

Thanks for the interesting post and link.

Hello Baloo!

Can you have a look at that link and tell me which road sign you worrying about, and then i 'll explain you exactly what about the "priorité à droite"( that's the right spelling:winky:)

Bienvenue sur le site de la Sécurité Routière

If anyone else needs to know about any other french road sign , let me know!::bigsmile:

Does anyone ever read the highway code?

99% of drivers go the wrong way around mini roundabouts even when there is sufficient space to go the right way.

99% of all driver tailgate me when I stick to the speed limits.

about 90% of all drivers rush by me at speeds well in excess of the speed limits

Most driver stay in the middle lane making progress difficult for us with larger vehicles.

The slightest mistake brings torrents of abuse.

I cannot believe that anyone reads it today.

I have similar experiences but you must do a helluva lot of travelling to have actually met nearly 100% of the drivers on the roads.

Good Quiz I managed 17 out of the 20 but do not have a clue which I got wrong.
Our continental friends have nothing to fear this year however because we are staying in England.
