Ok so I’ve got a plan to retire to Portugal at the end of next year!
So I bought a lhd possl van and need to add a couple of things!
1. Scooter rack (for scooter or electric bikes)
2. Fiamma roof rack (for kayaks)
3. Solar panels (its Portugal after all)
4. Maxx fan thingy (to keep a red headed Scotsman cool)

My idea is
1
to get a Watling scooter rack before the business closes at the end of this month!!!!
2
Install a fiamma roof rack to hold the solar panels and transport the kayaks.

So I guess I need advice on solar panels, sourcing and control and installation recommendations
👍😁
Thanks in advance

First I would check the weight of the van, on each axel’s.
Than the weight of the tow bracket.
Then the weight of the scooter/ electric bikes.
Overweight?
We had the same thought then checked the current van as we traveled, and then removed the tow bar!

Check what tax you need to pay to bring it into Portugal and what is required for matriculation.
Is the van you have bought left hand or right hand drive, this may be an issue.

Ok so just been to the weighbridge! 😐
My total weight is 3020kg, with 1/2 tank of fuel, no water and 89kg of driver!!!!!
despite explaining to the “operative” that I would like individual axle weights, he couldn’t grasp the concept of weighing the front of the van first and then the rear of the van to ascertain these!😐
So I’ll have to go back during the week when the “normal” guy is on 😂
