the future for motor homes?

It shows promise, but I think we're a looong way away from electric motorhomes at the moment.

yes, and I suspect the hybrid route will come first- it might have to with the lack of charging points in some places. hard enough to fuel up in N Scotland as it is

I really like that (y)

Hopefully by the time my van needs replacing, something like this will be viable.

Like the look like a Revolution US RV , wonder if you can get it with a range extender like the London taxi e-cab ? well kept secret , as its local to me :)

When the use of leccy vehicles increases (cars and m/homes) I expect camp sites will need to install meters at pitches.
Nearly two years ago one leccy charge point was installed at a local supermarket. Two weeks later someone parking a non elec car knocked it over. It has an 'Out of order' bag over it but it has never been repaired.

I think motorhome manufacturers will be hard pushed to get vans under the 3500k, that seams to be their tack at the moment to encourage younger people to take up the hobby

Isn’t a future electric motorhome most likely to be based on the new electric Ducato?

And why not, milkmen used fully electric vehicles for years. And now the battery technology has advanced, infact all the components technology has advanced and got lighter.
Wonder if they would charge on 6 to 10 amp hook up found in some places !

The problem at the moment is range, get the range and your too heavy to be useful under 3500kg, UK gov did put a proposal to the EU to increase the permitted weight on Electric only vehicles to 4500kg, but I think that went nowhere.

My hybrid car takes approximately 6 hrs flat to fully charged. The charger plugs into a 13 amp socket at home and costs 80p on night rate.the sites might put up their rates by £1 to cover don’t forget you will only have to charge it the night before you leave.

Where I used to work they had electric 7.5t trucks, roof of rear body was solar panel
Range was about 150 miles ,if you had heated screen, mirrors and heater in cab on the range was halved
As a delivery truck it wasnt bad but we had special 'pedestrian awareness' training because they just wont hear you coming and walk straight into the truck 🤔
