Auto cruise Gleneagle

Brand new
Last weekend saw us take charge of our very first motorhome, a Autocruise Gleneagle which we have christened "Glen". Got it from Somerset Motorhomes in Taunton, they were brilliant. They set us up in a nearby campsite to stay overnight to try everything out and came back the next morning to see how we fared. All went well and I was going to drive Glen home back to Bristol but the wife decided that she wanted to visit her sister who was camping on a farm in Branscombe, Devon about 40 miles further from home. We'll that was when it all went pear shaped !! To cut a long story short the Sat Nav took me down " unmarked " single track roads all the way into deepest Devon !! O M G it was my worst nightmare. A journey which culminated in the Sat Nav telling me to " take next right ". Only trouble was it was into a farmer's field !!! Nightmare ! So I had to make a 3 point turn as there was nowhere else to go !
Anyway we eventually arrived at the campsite but it was an experience I could have done without. It certainly was a " baptism of fire ".
I now have the confidence to take " Glen " anywhere
The " Eagle has landed " the joys of motorhoming .
See you at the NEC Birmingham if anyone is going.
Graham and Louise.

A great baptism of fire.......and somewhere that more people than care to admit it have been.

Hands up - a yes from here
