The dreaded fuel filter (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
Just had to fit a new fuel filter housing as mine had a major leak. This happened when I filled up. After filling it would leak after driving for about 15 mins, turned engine off for a few minuets then when restarting it had stopped leaking. This happened a couple of times in France but I got back to th UK. I bought a new housing and fitted it but it cost around £250.00. So my question is where can I get a spare filter housing cheaper?

About £70 now, original equipment.
Easy fit, no tools needed as long as you can pull out the pin holding the electrical connector.

Thanks for that. I have found them on ebay and will get one before the next trip. I have changed mine in a pub car park this week. The clip on the electrical connection is a bit awkward but I changed it in around 5mins. From now on I will always carry a spare and hope it is like taking your brolly. If you have it you wont need it.

If you are interested, I have a proper case device which is used for correctly tightening the actual filter correctly without distorting it. PM me if interested - my new van has a different type of filter so don't need it any more
