Has anyone Channel Tunneled or Ferried to the other side since Jan 1st. If so what did you experience compared to when UK was trapped.

Not wishing to be pedantic but if you changed the thread title to "The Border" you may get a better response to your question, obviously about crossing "the border".

But I very much doubt anyone is actually going to publish the fact they have broken the rules or intend to.

I think you are right the, you would have to have legitimate reason to travel the .Gov site currently says: Under current UK COVID-19 restrictions, you must stay at home. You must not leave home or travel, including abroad, unless you have a legally permitted reason to do so. Check the rules that apply to you in

You need a reason to enter France & travel across. Being a permenet resident in France would be one. Or in another EU state which meant you had to travel through France.then you need a pcr test ,negative, to enter.

Ah spelin miztak aggen. I think that's why i was a scaffolder and not a English teacher.

I notice a few people type then instead of than, and brought instead of bought, and others, not spelling mistakes just grammar i suppose. Dare not pick em up on it though.

Blame your “ word spell “ I’v now learnt to check what I’v written.

I hated school and spent as little time there as it was possible to get away with, my old man used to go nuts at my end of term reports. I could’nt remember a noun from a verb, top in art, top three in geography and history though, what use was that !

It did not hinder me in business and I learnt more after finishing an engineering apprenticeship and making my own way than when it was being forced down my neck.
I have several friends who were also useless at school but all went onto start and run successful business’s.

Is being a bit illiterate a social barrier? No, do’nt worry about it.

I've done ok. What i lacked in academic's i made up for in common sense and street wise. And i had boring people to do the boring stuff for me like auditors, lawyers n stuff.
