As a Motorhomer I'd have to say the 3 week spring tour of France from the Ardeche to the Ile de Re, in bright sunshine all the way.

My other highlight was taking early retirement from teaching on my birthday and seeing Michael Gove kicked out of the Department for Education on the same day. Best birthday presents ever.

Lucky thang, we used to go every year through the company that did the security but haven't been for about 5 years. Love, love, love F1. Enjoy.

Picking up new van in Scotland and bringing her home holiday stylee. Te n our 3 weektrip through France into Spain and home via Andorra. Personal high whilst sitting in a restraunt for my dads 75th I get phone call telling me I had become a grandad.

Finally having our wonderful Jumbo finished and heading off for 2 weeks in France despite the dislocated shoulder incident. Finally seeing Chartres Cathedral and discovering Ile de Re and St Jean De Luz being the highlights.

Yes - that's pretty much what the optometrist told me. Apparently the op is pretty straightforward. Only takes 10-20 minutes to do. There is a place in Boston (not Pilgrim!) that is supposed to be pretty good - is that where your Mum went?

Very straightforward , had both mine done, what a difference !!!!
You know the saying.......I would rather have pins stuck in my eyes...bit like that !!!

There were so many good things happening last year, but easily the best thing about 2014 was young Katie at last getting properly diagnosed for an illness that had been worrying us for 18 months. Fantastic.

2014 was not a bad year until the end of it when I lost my mother. The weather on the whole was crap and we had lots of problems but still breathing for another year.

However after a visit to the opticians I was sent that very day to our general hospital where they examined my eyes and told me I had macular degeneration wet in left eye and dry in the right. This was followed by 4 injections over 4 weeks directly into my eyeball They also discovered that I had cataracs forming in both eyes...... Still I've had worse
