used to be free leccy on several aires in france .
we used to use one near cap breton when going off surfing in the winter.
was years ago before the thousands of m,homers went away for winter.

Nice spot especially when it's a freebie, surprised its empty, allo, allo. Let's hope this thread doesn't get hijacked and deleted. :imoutahere:

And me mate, I put my last one up in good faith, why it had to turn into an argument I have no idea, in fact I was writing a long post about all that's good in France but when I came to post it, the bloody thread had gone.
I have seen far worse on here, no mention of why just gone and there was a photo of a van like ours on there that I would have liked to see again, but that's gone as well. :( :(

Yes, pity about losing the pic of the van like yours, I didn't think there could be 2 peeps in the world with such "good"
colour coordination. :imoutahere:

:love::rolleyes:

Yeah and the mad thing we were coming across the pyranise mountains and it was a toss up whether we went to Pamplona or back into France, if we had gone the other way we might have met.

This place just goes on and on, last night was completely silence apart from an owl hooting, no distant road , nothing, and black dark not a light anywhere, and this morning a woman has just been and cleaned all around the emptying thing with a toilet brush down it and sprayed all around it and polished it up.

Red squirrel just run in front of van, whatever will happen next.

Another on we really liked is the free aire at St Gervais Les Bains. The aire is just part of a car park and nothing special really but the nearby town is great, lively place with plenty of shops etc.

We rode on the Mont Blanc Tramway, station in the town. Fare was €70.30 for us two but well worth it.

We also went by bus to Chamonix, lovely trip.

The swift is still here ,there's folks in it as the roof lights keep opening and closing but not seen another sign of anyone, all the front windows have blinds up but the door never been opened as we can see.
