Just an update on spaces, we are in one of the campsites in Armacao de Pera and there is plenty of room. The same applies at the other site here and the Football club car park though the bad news here is the daily fee in the car park has gone up to 1.50 euros. There was a flurry of French campers a few weeks ago but most seem to have gone and at least here we are back to the normal residents and a steady trickle of tourers. We are getting diesel at Jumbo for 1.149 euros a litre, prices have gone up due to tax increases. Some prices have gone up a bit but many are the same as two winters ago, but the people are still as friendly as ever

Thanks for that, at 1.50 a day ,and cheap diesel,sounds good to me.
There abouts in a few weeks,can't wait.

@maxi77 its a good spot there, we enjoyed it. We had a similar situation with a wave of French motorhomes! Apparently the French head to Morocco for the winter.

past experiance as taught me it will be back.
i remember 4 aquas in over 3 ft of water .
several times .
plus one of my neighbours here as a place actually not far from the football field in albufeira. we used to spend quite alot of time there . glad he bought another place inland though . ha ha .
it used to be great on the west coast when i was surfing as we wanted the storms . but now i just want sun /dry/ heaven .
but enjoy yourselves .

Dry this morning, reckon we had about 4 inches overnight. More is forecast today but so far looking good with only 2.5 hours to the expiry of the severe weather warning

The Portimão Marina site at Praia da Rocha is now SHUT.

A metal bar has been placed across the entrance.

The 100 odd vans on there now have to leave by Dec 8th.

My people tell me the land has been sold by the bank that owned it and is being redeveloped.

Apparently the new complex will feature a lake, and I guess there will be holiday accommodation and stuff around it.
