Not really surprising, they routed it across a floodplain. My OH lived round the corner from there and used to play on the old MU. We are actually back in the area visiting MIL and wondered why the road was coned off.

@TeeMyob , not sure why you couldn't believe it.
It was raining over most of Britain at the weekend. Roads closed in Wales, Scotland and even England!
I know I had to drive up to Edinburgh Saturday and return Sunday.
I do notice that the road is open again.
