currently in Xabia and needed to post a parcel. Negotiated the one way streets and eventually found the Post Office.
Nowhere obvious to park our motor scooter so parked in what I thought was a lay-by. Inside the Post Office heard blaring horns and found I had parked in the bus stop in a single lane street. A big build up of traffic was not amused.
Dashing out of the PO to move the scooter I was confronted by a Guardia Civil Motorcyclist who gave me a bo11ocking for sitting on, and moving, the scooter without a helmet. The fact that the engine was not running on the scooter was probably what avoided a fine.
Then back into the Post Office to find that my parcel, with 2euros of contents had cost me 6.80 euros to post.
G&T time, I think.
