We have now graduated to being a fully fledged newbies having picked up our Elddis 196 two weeks ago. We are loving it ! It has been a steep learning curve, but great advice here meant that we went for a Gaslow system from get go. We have made rookie mistakes like not realising the loo needed emptying until last thing at night, not a wise thing to do. Apologies to fellow motorhommers on site at Dunkeld last week when I set off the alarm first thing in the morning. However I am sure many more mistakes to be made but let the adventures begin! Thank you anyone who contributed advice on the gas system it was very much appreciated. Happy travels folks.

welcome to fun, don't worry about the alarm, we managed to set off the alarm on our ,new to us, van at 01.30 took us about 10 miutes to get it sorted so we were locked in but not setting the alarm off.
5 of us using the casette when the toilets were shut was an experience, I am the emptier too, got lots of steps in that week.

My cats have taken to stepping on the steering wheel and sounding the horn at 2am so I feel your pain. Must work out which fuse it is to disable when camped.
