Tesco/Tunnel code how long before you have to use the code to book a crossing

I know how to swop Tesco Clubcard vouchers to book the tunnel but as Tesco are changing what they are worth to redeem in June ie £5 will be worth £10 not £15 as at present.
I am wondering if I can redeem my vouchers and get a code now, can I then just keep the code until I know I want to book a crossing. Not quite sure if we are going to France later in the year and may be in the van or the car so do not want to book in advance.
I have read through Tesco & Eurotunnel Q&A but could not find the answer so just wondered if anyone had received a code but not immediately used it.

The vouchers once issued as eurotunnel codes are valid for 12 months ,see the above, extended from 6months to 12.

Im waiting until June to change mine. Then will have 12 months to make a booking. Will probably split Eurotunnel & Stenna

Once you have your eurotunnel ticket, you can always have the date of your travel revised subsequently.
