When was the last time the fuel filter's were changed, that can have a dramatic change to efficiency,

Alan,
Can absolutely agree with that
Had ours serviced and fuel filter changed just before we went off on a recent 2 week trip. 1700miles of 'combined' driving and fuel consumption has gone from a regular 27mpg to 31mpg, In a 3litre 3.5t van thats quite an improvement!!!

No special fuels either...cheaper the better(y)

Try again it works fine up to 60 mins

See I edited after 52 minutes just for you

Don't know how then as there's no 'edit' option on my previous postings to be able to do so, and when I've done a posting recently and then gone back into it quickly to edit it, after 3 mins I get a message to tell me it is too late ... is this another issue to do with being a Lifer I wonder????

Picture below of previous posting and you can see there is NO edit ability ...

Maybe? it took a while after the platform change to get the 60 minute edit working.

Unless I got special priviledges

Well. I am a trackday instructor and need every bit of power I can.

I fill the bike with the cheapest fuel I can find and the bike never suffers from lack of power.

I was showing 178 mph yesterday at Silverstone on Tesco's finest.

I must say that is some track bike with a speedo when I used to race I never had time to look for a speedo!!! how times change.

Just to add a little into the mix, so to speak

I have been reading about adding two stroke oil to your diesel on the VW forum

People are saying their vans run better, ie smoother and better aceleration and slight improvement in mpg of upto 5 mpg :)
