I bought my last one at a show, but it has long since went to the bin.. snapped in a high wind..

I won't be at a show in the near future but there are plenty on ebay ..

Two questions for the flag pole experts..

What is the optimal height.. I was thinking 6 mts

and is there a good or preferred make.. ?

I was looking at this one ..

Spirit of Air ones are good. They seem to be a fair bit stronger and better made than the cheaper alternatives.

We had a cheaper 9m one that we bought at a festival but managed to break it - probably overloaded as it had 2 5x3 flags and 2 spinners on it :D

6m is probably plenty high enough really. I think I'll more than likely go for that size next time.

I can't remember offhand whether ours is 5m or 6m but it seems plenty long enough. I don't know enough about them to comment on quality of one over another.

Our 7m pole came from one of the exhibitors at Peterborough, either Hizakite or the other lot whose name escapes me, we fly 3 flags including a trophy laden Man Utd , seems plenty long enough.

Have to agree here..
We have had a fair few over the years,,, The last one bought was a Breeze and it has been the only one that has never snapped
We still have two, but one is made up out of all the odds and sods left over from the cheaper poles bought. The Breeze is just so much better

Ours is from life's a breeze. It has stood up very well to anything the elements seem to throw at it. Recommended.

Just ordered an extension, we live in hope. (y)

I think you should have a Fellaini wig on top of the extension as a tribute to the football you're currently playing......in the stars :D

Its not how big the pole is, its what you fly on it that counts.:notworthy2:
