Does anyone have one of these set ups? Model is SPC 10/2
Just getting to understand new van to us - been on electric hook up and thought solar was working OK due to LED light flashing - seem I might have been wrong.
Manual says
2. LED slowly flashing. Fully charged. (which is what i thought we had as flashing about 3 second interval)
1. LED blinking. Short circuit, check PV panel & battery connections are correct (what is the difference between blinking and flashing?)
3. LED on - Charging (Never seen this happening)
4.
LED quickly flashing. No charging. (so is 3 second interval quickly flashing?)
5.
LED off. No battery or overvoltage.

I have put some load onto the batteries in full sun and reduced the voltage down to about 12.5 showing on the main control panel - LED lights stay same - no fixed LED? which I would have thought we should have had in full sun and charging?

I have pulled the fuses out and the LED s go off - back on again when I put fuses back in.

Anyone got any experience of these much appreciated.

I have the same controller but mine is called Sparks and has a remote MeTer panel. I've had no problems with it and you can download the instructions. I'll search it all out tomorrow. If you have disconnected the controller you must connect the solar panel last after the batteries.

Thanks for replies.
I have downloaded the manual in english from Teleco - but can't work out the diference they suggest in the flashing LED? seems subjective?
The negative connections on the Teleco controller are linked - sharing common negative - is that what you are suggecting by them being linked?
Van is 3 years old - and it looks like this was either factory fitted or by supplying dealer - Panel is a Teleco Panel and all looks OK and tidy on the roof - so would have thought wiring is as was when supplied.?

I can't see in the photo, but normally there are some dip switches on the unit for the setting the correct battery profile, AGM/GEL/ Lith.
If not set to the correct profile, that may give the symptoms you're experiencing.
Mike.

- Made sure the setting is right for gel battery = not bothered about % to each battery - charging frequency I set to default.
No change -both LED s still flashing approx every 3 seconds - so not sure this is slowly flashing showing charged? blinking showing short circuit? or quickly flashing showing no charge?

With the van unplugged, put some load on the hab battery, internal lights, plug in a phone ect, see if that changes it's status.

Test each battery voltage with a multimeter. Any thing above 14.7 on either battery is charging

Thanks for replies - yes as I said in my post I have put load on and reduced voltage - no change in the LED s flash rate.
In terms of getting to leisure battery - pretty tricky without removing seat - as everything is under there - Electrobloc at the front -and Battery charger at the rear and spaghetti junction.
I need a rethink. I think:unsure:

Measure it at a 12v socket.

The wires to the controller look way undersized.

Measure all of them at the charge control
