Significant drips coming from our AC unit after a few hours of operating with39 degrees c outside temp. Floor got soaked in the van.I thought the evaporated water would discharge outside?anyone any advice please?

Sorry meant condensate would discharge outside.

Condensate drain pipe blocked, air filter blocked or low gas pressure. First 2 easy do it yourself fix, 3rd maybe A/C specialist to regas.
Do you get a puddle under the bus also? That would indicate that the drain is mostly clear.

Roof mounted ac units have a pump to lift the condensation and discharge it onto the roof of the van (at least mine does) I had a problem in France the pump stuck. I borrowed a ladder from the site I was on and freed it off. If you do be sure to shut off all the electricity if the unit works through an inverter just switching off the 240 won't be enough

As the others have said, blocked condensate tube or pump issue.

Least likely is low refrigerant charge causing localised ice build up on the evaporator.

If it’s cooling ok, more likely just tube/pump issue.

In my previous motorhome I had the Truma floor mounted A/C and this was located in the double floor. Had no problems at all but once when we were severely not level, the condensate water leaked into the double floor instead of dripping outside. Once level again the problem disappeared.
