If we bought a Ninja Foodi Mini Oven, wattage 2400 for use in our van how much electric would it use from our batteries 2 x 110 lithium while not on mains ie wild camping. What size inverter would we need and do you think it is feasible to use one like the mini oven? Have 150w solar panel.

200 amps per hour plus inverter losses.
½ hour use with 2 x 110ah betteries to 50% discharge But 150watt panel isn't going to keep up for long.
You would probably be best with a 3kw inverter.....

We have 200w of solar and 2 x110 batteries and 1 x90 ah in parallel.we have a 1500w inverter and a 800 w microwave ,which we would only use for 5 mins max.in the summer batteries are topped up by early afternoon from previous evenings use. I don't think you would be able to run a 2400 w oven for more than a couple of mins even if you had a 3kw inverter,which in itself would be an expensive item. I would only consider running something like that on hook up but lots of hook ups would have insufficient amps .I,,,'m sure someone with lithium battery experience can advise more.

Maybe nearer to an hour to 80% discharged.

That would still be 84amps p/h plus losses.
200watt panel would, in theory, produce around 16amps p/h..... In the real world a bit less

Your only chance would be if it used considerably less that its maximum wattage as soon as it got hot and even then I think you are pushing your luck with just 220ah LiFePO4.

A Remosca only uses I believe about 800watts on 230v or a Skillet set works well on gas if you have no oven. We have both and work well.
My wife uses our Remosca nearly every day at home, cooks chickens and various meats, scones seem to turn out better than the oven.

We have a Skillet set we have not used for years, you could have it for a “ tenner “ if you can pick it up ( South Somerset )

Our Remoska oven is only 600watts you must have the super dooper catering model at 800watts.
I think there is now a glass toped see through model , which is bigger & very posh, I guess that takes 800 watts which is still very efficient.
Agree its the best electric cooker for the van on hook up, we use ours to help cook xmas dinner in the van last two years, plus gas hob of course, we also use at home.

We haven't baked scones yet, will have word with the catering staff to get them to expand their meal offerings

Off grid a 2.0 inverter generator thru a Victron multiplus probably do the trick

Another vote for Remoska.
We have the older grand Remoska, 640watts, and has roasted a whole chicken and roast spuds together.
640watts is 53 amps so around 2½hrs use to 80% discharge.

TinaL, I have been and looked on the box, you are correct, 600 watts, I did write, “ I believe “.
Our old Remosca lasted some 9 - 10 years before expiring. The new 600 watt one is the smaller one with a glass window in the top.

The main limitation is the solar power. A 200W panel will yield about 60Ah on a good day. That's enough to power a 1000W device for about 45 minutes, or a 600W device for 1 hr 15 min.
