hello any one been to tan hill and stayed over or any were nice nearby ?
i would think that you would be ok in their car park
new years eve seems reasonable @ £20 per head http://www.livemusicattanhill.co.uk...on-band/steady-boys/hakuna-matata/voodoos/63/
stayed on their car park opposite the pub before....no problem
but ask first
keep an eye on the weather up there...it can change in a few minutes and the pub can be cut off for days
hello thanks but in what way ?
i think he means snow but it don't look like its going to at the moment.
more a risk of flooding at the bottom of the hill at the moment but being so high i suppose it could snow and then you could end up being stranded for days.
You need to be self contained and thick skinned, some people get offended.
Otherwise it, s OK
we stayed there mid November , £2 each , they put it in a charity box ,
you can park in the yard or just up the road ( 50yds on the right going East ) there is a parking area , a lot of MH's us it ,a bit quieter up there if there is bands on etc ,
They are very friendly at the pub and they do a cooked breakfast for around a fiver ,
We also stayed at the Farmers Auction Market in Hawes , Water tap in front of the Toilet Block and disposal point behind the Toilet Block,
contact John 07890473892 i thinks it is about £5 , Quiet and good view of the Hills 5 mins into Hawes , Excellent food at the Black Bull 2 for a Tenner , Gammon is huge oink oink ..
ok thanks has anyone beeen in the inn ? whats the views ?
last time I was in the inn was around 7 years ago...very homely/rural and very friendly
It's a very lively pub with a layed-back atmosphere ...... on our last visit there were sheep wandering in and out of the bar .
If you get snowed in they have a tracked snowmobile and trailer:thumb:
Great pub, great staff, loads of ales. Comfy and warm. You can't go wrong with the place.
