Tam, Do you find these spots purely on Park4Night or do you use other methods? You've only just started out and found some great looking places already and as I suffer from "Great Spot" envy, I'm seriously going to have to ignore this thread for the rest of the year unless you start parking in lay-bys.
Due to the lack of info ref taking dogs abroad in April, we intend to spend the Easter Leave period in the UK - Especially if we can find spots like these around.

A mixture of both really , I use park4night and sometimes I just stumble across somewhere remote. I avoid laybyes lol i like the quieter places usually.

Anyone know where @ianthebuilder is parked up at the minute? I was gonna pop in for a cuppa on the way past , left him a message on his thread but he ain't seen it yet. I'm on a1 at minute near the Lincoln turnoff and can't remember if he's moved up here yet or if he was at Peterborough. I've had a quick read back a few pages of his thread but can't see where he is

Not in Peterborough it isn't [well 10 miles away], not at the moment anyway...
...of course he could be at Granjan's doing that Christmas Auction work ...
...but equally, his butterfly brain could have taken him off to Belgium on a ciggie run

So I've stopped in this lovely wee park at Orton mere near Peterborough for a spot of lunch and a dog walk. Nice and sunny here so I've not decided if I'll just stay here tonight as I'm probably less than 2 hours from folkestone and my train ain't till 18.20 tomorrow ....think it would be nice and quiet here.

Youare only "less then 2 hrs from Folkestone " when you are the other side of the Dartford crossing.

It's looking unlikely though. I've stopped the night in Peterborough and will be heading on in morning , I've not heard from him so I'm guessing he's busy.
But if he's replied by morning and I get past the m25 ok I might have time to grab a cuppa with him before heading to shuttle.
