Much damage?
Well it won't clip in at the front now the end cap and the bit inside the end cap is broken .....not sure what the hell he was thinking

I'd tried to put it away when windy and it was going in squint....he came over with a ladder and climbed up at the front while I was winding it in ....next thing he's thumping and whacking it full force with his hand....jammed it in and then buggerd off but it popped back out.
I. went up on roof so I could get a decent look at it and the cap and internal bits Knackered so I need a new bit now grrrr
But I have it wound it at least

Put a cable tye round it before driving off just in case it comes undone. If it’s Fiamma and the bit behind the cover it’s cast aluminium, mine was broke in three places but the bits are available.

It shouldn't come out as it's wound in so the material can't unroll . Mine is all plastic under the end cap...it's an omnistor 5002 I believe

My daughter who lives in Bangkok has a miniature Pomeranian. Poor little thing lives its life in an apartment, dogs aren't allowed in the parks and it's too hot to go outside most of the time.

Great pics Tam,and you’ve shown some of my favourite places in that area.
Last time we did the walk west of Luz we watched a pod of dolphins heading towards Sagres, there were about eight of them, and only about 50 yards from the cliffs.
We’ll be there soon, but not soon enough!
Are you still planning to go back up the eastern side of the country? For me,it would have to be via the west coast, but I think you’ve already done that.:)(y)

Yes that's the plan as I never done inland Portugal last year and haven't done the east side of Spain so I can nip back and forth across border here and there. After a look around sagres and cabo de sao vicente yesterday I drove back to Lagos and stayed there last night, Toby is booked in to Wayne at English autos on the 30th for cambelt and full service so working my way back to villamoura for that and then I'll be heading back to Spanish border refuelling and heading north:)

So here's the few pics I took at sagres , cabo sao vicente and the fort before we drove back and parked up at Lagos last night. I saw these lovely woollen hoodies at cabo sao vicente last year and didbt buy one as difficult to think of cold weather while sweatimg in 30° but decided I was having one this year.....Trying it on was fun I was melting but will be nice in the cold harsh Scottish winter I'll be going back to €25 ! .

So far I've used a half tank of fuel from Isla Cristina Spain all the way to sagres and back to Lagos.....good going as that's been 23 days now since I filled up , half tank should get me back to Spanish border. Although diesel in sagres was cheapest I've seen in Portugal at €1.30l compared to most being €1.44 + So it wouldn't have hurt to top up but no point as I plan to nip in to Spain before going north anyway so I can pick up a few items from mercadona lol.

Cambelt and service being done on the 30th at villamoura van will only have done 15000 miles on that cambelt but the last one I have proof off was just over 5 years so I'd rather be safe than sorry , joker I bought Toby off claimed he had it done in 2017 but couldn't prove it. And needs service done too as I've done over 10000 miles since I bought it last October....8000 on this trip so far

I get worried about some of the girls on here - especially the ones who start admiring a bearded hairy-a*sed Scotsman's choice of a grey jumper.

He'll be buying bootees for the dogs next, in case their little tootsies get cold in Scotland away from the warm rocks of the Med. ;) :D2
I don't think the hirsuteness of a Celts rear end is a factor :)

So after lunch I drove back to ferragudo thought I'd park up on the beach where I stayed last year and where there were several campers last week when I was on the other spot . Had a nice play with the dogs on the beach as it was deserted . Then I was just drying them off when this old guy about 307 turned up and started telling me no autocaravanna here and making signals about phoning police
I couldn't decipher if he was saying it was his land or not but I decided just to go to the place I was last week .
Anyway I couldn't believe it but while the old codger was talking to me a couple pulled up behind his car on a scooter .....maybe about 8 feet behind them ....he obviously didn't see them and never looked in his mirror ...reversed and knocked over the scooter with the girl still on it ...she fell over and scooter was on top of her leg ....Had to help push car forward and I honestly expected ambulance and police job but miraculously she just got up the guy pushed the scooter to the side they exchanged a few words with arms flapping and the old guy drove off
Personally I'd have called the police he's a danger on the road

Anyway after he left I drove round to the other spot to be on the safe side

Pity as that bit is great for letting dogs on beach with no people

I have a Dutch couple parked next to me ( as in nearly inside my van ) they parked with their door facing mine right opposite and now every time they come out or in they give me dirty looks not sure if it's the dogs or if they think I'm riffraff as my hymer is 5 years older than their hymer :p

For once I'm just allowing milo to bark when he wants lol

Hate snobs whatever nationality they are

False alarm ...they are actually quite nice but I think milo melted them a bit

Turns out they just bought the van 2 months ago first motor home and very first trip, they set of 2 weeks ago for a 6 week trip.

They are travelling up east coast of Spain so I've told them a few places to go

I think maybe they were just shy ?

Now for the funny part .....the 2 pics above are from just now today

The pic below is from 2016 lol

Same clothes and everything ha ha .....But just goes to show she's nearly back to her old self

EDIT sister says the clothes were deliberate so they could take the same picture.

I didn't get that at first I thought it was accidental..

Either way I'm really chuffed ? considering we nearly lost her at Christmas

That’s fantastic I thought you had just double posted. Good on her. Think you should take her away with you.

Sat in the vets panicking after a crazy drive through the narrow streets of portimao.

Milo has swallowed a fishing hook and it's stuck somewhere .....big piece of fishing line hanging out mouth and he's keeping choking and trying to be sick...
Nurse rushed him away to vet I'm sat in waiting room ?

Bloody dogs ....and bloody fisherman dumping crap behind them

I knew this would happen at somepoint ...

It's not likely to have gone far if he's choking & trying to bring it up. Fingers crossed for a good vet with long forceps ?.
