Taking UK registered motorhome to USA (1 Viewer)

Many years ago we bought an ancient RV in USA and toured US and Canada over a 3yr period, selling the RV at the end.There are places wed love to visit again and I recall reading about folks who did it by importing their own UK motorhome. Has anyone out there done this and can help us get the plan off the ground?
