Wanting to take our dog in our motorhome to Austria later this year, when legally allowed of course. Has anyone already done this? Post brexit and pre covid lockdown? Thanks

If things are back to 'normal' when you go then normal requirements will apply.
Have you done your own research on t'web?

Usual AHC requirements. I found in Austria dogs were expected to be muzzled at all times in public. I caught a little ferry across Wolfgangsee and we didn't know about the muzzle thing. We were only ones on board and the young girl operating the ferry told us she was ok with an unmuzzled dog but on return journey, if there were others on board she wouldn't let us on. Fortunately we were only passengers again.
Worth bearing in mind.

Hi & :welco:Why would you want to take the poor dog there?:giggler:

Part of the family perhaps?

For some people that is a bit like asking why would you want to take your children with you.

Just after Brexit and just before Covid lockdown (January 21), they abolished pet passports and changed the requirements on taking pets to EU. So I was just wondering how the new system works. We’ve travelled to Austria dozens of times but never with a pet dog. As we’re hoping to go for 3 weeks it made sense to take our dog with us . They are such big dog lovers over there anyway and in Germany. They only have to be muzzled on Public Transport and in areas in and around Vienna. The rest of Austria is pretty laid back as long as your dog is well behaved and kept on a lead. So I really just wanted to know if anyone had travelled to Europe with the new paperwork and requirements. 😊
