they're on Defra's list but that may be irrelevant as not entering from or to the UK, may depend which borders you're crossing

My advice is with a pet passport we should be fine.

We are now hassling with motor insurance as the Bosnian border towns that offer it don't include the one we were planning in going though (Gradiska) and this entails a lengthy detour down south . Grrrrrrrrr

A word of caution Jac; I've read on this very site (been trying to find the piece but no luck) that its easy taking a pet out of the EU, its getting back in where the problems start? Were I in your shoes; and we hope to go overland to Greece next year,,, I'd definitely check the facts. Good luck & safe driving.
Best regards, James & Angie, from dunear in Narfuk. (y)

We're now heading down the border to cross lower down and have stopped off in Zagreb for a walking tour and vegan meal

As long as your faithful friend has had a rabies jab AND had the bloodtest (and you've also got the test certificate) that's all you should need apart from the Pet Passport. In practice you'll be unlucky if anybody even notices and IMHO the average border guard has no idea about pet regulations anyway.

As everyone else has said, I'm pretty sure Bosnia and Herzegovina are signed up to the PETS scheme, so pet passport should be fine.

Going into Croatia was funny as we were stopped by two guards who were about to wave us through (it was dark) then heard our dog making a huge lazy yawn and decided to search the van !

Don't suppose they bothered about the paperwork then.
