Agreed. It went on to become a LEA Outdoor Pursuits Centre - I've been there a number of times and thoroughly enjoyed it, as did the youngsters we accompanied. They still have a picture of the original HMS Conway in the foyer.

I love Anglesey had a great week there summer last year.

Like wise, stayed on a brilliant little CL looking towards the lighthouse at South Stack, absolute bliss and the weather was superb for our stay!
 
Interesting, I'm trying to remember the name of the ( I think) Tudor era warship that foundered there.
HMS Conway was the ship.
It was being towed through the swellies but the tug was slightly late and the ship ran aground, and later on broke up.
The swimming was done at low tide at slack water
