Hi there.

We're about to pick up our new-to-us 2009 Kontiki 669.
We're thinking about levels for when we're on the non-level pitches in this world! The ones we're looking at are the Milenco Quattro 2.
So my first question is,are these the type that people would recommend or are there other which are better?
Secondly, and this might be a stupid question - Do we need 2 sets as we're a tag axle? Our current Moho one has 1 axle at the back and so we have one set of levels.

Any help greatly appreciated

thanks

Darren

We have a tag axle Pilote and to be honest we seldom bother with levelling the back and when we do it's just a couple of bits of 8x2 to level side to side.
Not had the van from Hayes have you? if so their fourth sale to funsters this year! We had ours from them, pleasure to deal with. (y)

I’d be interested to see how you’d line up the ramps in front of each axle! Might be a bit of a tight fit for the rearmost axle!

We tend to use planks. We have combinations of long planks and short planks. No problems with storage space? Use ramps on the front wheels, or short pieces of plank depending on what’s required.

Yeah, I wondered that myself but I saw somewhere that these Quattros can be joined together 'back to back' so presumably, you'd drive'over the top' of the front set and level yourself over 2 sets......that's what really confused me!!

You can get plates to join triples and quattros together back to back, for use with tag axles.

Wow, wasn’t aware of that. But presumably this forces you to be on the highest setting?

I would have thought that because of the spacing between the axles that it is not possible to use the highest level.

many many years! since I was a kid
i carry 2 sand ladders, ideal under the rear wheels to get extra lift and to get out of mud or sand

Living the dream.
We use two ramps and some scaffold planks. Run onto the planks with number two axle then place the ramps under number one and forward of two. Run onto the ramps and axle three should be on the planks.
For both side levelling do it on axle one.
