Table Repairs

Hi all

We had a little accident on the weekend when something fell out of an overhead locker onto our habitation area table. The table surface has dented and cracked - size is about an inch or so - Does anyone know anyone who might be able to repair or replace?

Have approached hymer for a quote and am sitting down awaiting their response!

movan had a similar problem a short while ago.

She posted her repair on the Forum and there were many suggestions from other members in the thread.

A search (right of blue ribbon on top of page) should bring up results.

Suggestions to conceal/repair table

:( got a feeling this going to be expensive. Opened overhead cupboard and food tin dropped onto dining table and smashed it ..:( . Not exactly in a position where I can hid it .. and I wouldn't care but I moved the tins to that cupboard from above the hob in case they dropped on glass...

I drilled a small hole in the underside of the table directly below the damage. Then gently tapped the depressed area back into place using a length of small diameter bar. Finished off with isopon which I carefully sanded down when it had dried.

I repaired a dent in a worktop on a caravan, I used Gel Coat filler and coloured the filler to match with Humbrol Enamel.
