Hi,
We have viewed a Burstner T615 done an extended HPI check on it and everything is fine. The seller who has had it since 2014 has had the whole front end including the roof fairing resprayed. He explaind the paint on the ducato cab had peeled and the fibreglass fairing was showing signs of age related wear. Can anyone enlighten me as to any water ingress issues from the roof fairing area.
Thanks

Welcome from Ciren! (y)
Do you have any damp-check figures for that area…..?……or for the rest of the ‘van?

I need to get my fibreglass overcab resprayed or vinyl wrapped on my 05 T680 as the lacquer has peeled off in sheets. It's not an uncommon "feature" on some older Bürstners !
Edit: Just remembered there was someone on here this week who had a leak where the fibreglass overcab joins the ally roof, I think it was due to the mastic giving up at the joint and also any rainwater tends to pool there when you're parked up. A simple enough fix, if spotted in time.

Thanks for the reply,
Helpful that you have said burstners do suffer issues with the lacquer. I need to organise a damp check this week for peice of mind. This van has everything we need/wanted at a realistic price. But of coarse we don't want a money pit. We'll no more than any other motorhome🙂

Polyester resin can suffer osmosis, so I guess he's had it fixed. Hopefully with an epoxy resin.

Thanks James,
I think I will ask to look at the invoice for what he had done.
