In my 2019 Auto-trail Tracker EKS there is a double rocker switch under the upper locker next to the reading light behind the driver’s seat. Sorry - I haven’t a photo available. One switch operates the floor-level LED strip under the washroom floor. However the other one doesn’t seem to do anything. Can anyone tell me what it’s for.

Does it have a 'l' and 'll' written on the switch. If so then it'll be the solar panel charge selector. One will send the solar charge to the hab batteries while the other will charge the engine battery.

Not sure without a pic though.

All the best,

Andrew

Seems rather an odd place to have any sort of switch, other than for reading lights. Maybe it’s for something outside, which you wouldn’t necessarily see whilst fiddling with it. Or,maybe, the ejector seat.

One of them operates the light strip under the step up into the bedroom area and the other operates the strip light above the over-cab bed in our 2013 AT Frontier Savannah.

Wild guess - logically it'll be another light. I have a similar switch by the door on my Autocruise, easily reachable from outside, which operates the ceiling light above the door, but only when it's already turned on with it's built in switch.

Turning all the lights on, then seeing if that switch turns one off might reveal the answer.

In our Tracker one switch operates the LED strip light that runs above the cupboards which are over the cab seats. The other switch does the light under the bathroom door.

There are no markings on the switch. Perhaps on some models the switch operates something and on others it’s redundant. I’ve taken a photo if that helps.

Exactly the same switch as ours but as you don't have an overcab bed it may be redundant.

The led striplight is along the front edge of the casing for the big skylight. As it's on the front edge, and as a result it's edge on to you when viewing from below, it's not easy to see.

See my post #6. Yours is the same basic layout as ours and we have a LED strip behind the top lip of the over seat cupboards. You can’t see it but you can feel it. If it’s not there then the second of your switches may be redundant.

Thanks everyone. Having checked out your suggestions, I think it must be a redundant switch. Might come in handy for another gadget.

You could always unscrew the switch to see if there are any wires attached to the "dummy" switch and then start wondering all over again if there is and where they terminate!:whistle2::giggle:

Trying to sort this out now as we cannot switch off the LED lights under the locker cupboards on either side.Have taken the switch apart and it does have wires going to it both parts but the only way to turn the lights off is to remove the fuse!

If it's the strip lights under the overhead lockers we have a switch on the control panel over our hab door that dims \ switches these off.
Bottom row second from the left in this photo.

Yep same as me apart from I don't have an overhead bed, just lockers. Have a look on top of the lockers and there should be a LED strip make sure it's still plugged in at the end.

Thanks. We don’t have as fancy control panel above habitation door but we have discovered a round button to right of door. Pressing it turns off the under locker lights. Phew! I think it is also a dimmer switch but don’t want to turn too hard in case we break something. Just pleased we don’t have to keep removing the fuse!
