On and off for about 15 years
Hi all We have a PMS5BWAH board for checking water, battery etc. The motorhome is 15 years old and it seems that the makers of the board Plug In Systems are no longer trading. My query is this, under the heading Battery the switch goes to Car or Van. We are assuming Car refers to the driving end of the home and Van is for the habitation area. Is this correct?

Also, when the van is not being used, where should the switch be?
Thanks for any help you can give us.

Yes, you're correct.
If not in use and not being charged you could put the switch in either position but I would leave it in the hab position or you could forget and flatten your engine battery.
In the hab position it will use and charge (if on hook up) the hab battery.
In the cab position...ditto.
In the event of a flat hab battery switch to engine battery TEMPORARILY
