Hi,

As the title says on our way again to Livigno late Feb.

Last year we stopped in Lucerne which is a great stop over & en route.

Just wondered if anyone had any other suggestions? Always looking to stop somewhere new!

Year round campsites seem a bit thin on the ground in Switzerland - quite happy visiting Lucerne again if need be though.

Thanks,

Rob

For a while now we've attacked Italy via Fussen but I've no idea what those roads are like mid winter. Glorious May-Sep.

Doubt Tasch is on your route, but has a site open all year, stayed in summer and winter, minibus up to Zermatt straight from the campsite.

I was reading about Bern recently, sounded a nice town. Had a quick look on CC at sites and there seemed to be a few around.

If its just a transit stop you want then there is a good cheap all weather aire at Willisau, not too far away from Lucerne.
Its next to the fire station and is open all year, water (all year), electric and toilet/grey dump all included, payment is via honesty envelope and is chf5 per night.
If leccy is important you will need a loong lead if parked on the pitches furthest from the service point.
5 minute walk back into the town.

We use it most years on the way down to the ferry at Ancona.
