We're going to look at a Swift Spirit 122 tomorrow and while I'm a bit late asking on here, does anyone have any experience and thoughts on this model please - good or bad? Thanks

Sorry just seen this, how did you get on Gary? i bought one in May and love it, when i can get in it!

We liked it and bought it! We'd made a mistake (for us) earlier in the year and bought a coachbuilt Benimar which was a lovely van but although it was only 6m long we found the extra width and bulk of the coachbuilt was restrictive on our sort of touring. We love hitting small places down back roads and being able to park reasonably easily, also we're not the sorts to arrive at a campsite and sit around as we always want to explore so use the van to do this. While you can do that with coachbuilt it is surprisingly harder than with a PVC so we sold the coachbuilt and looked for a PVC. The Swift 122 just seems right for us, normal van width, 6m length so parking is easier, it is fully loaded including winterisation, good cab again fully loaded, and a shower room that is compact but actually usable as shower which is unusual in many PVC's - certainly our last PVC didn't have enough arm space in the shower room.
Obviously we haven't been able to use it properly yet but are hoping to get away on 5th December weekend so long as restrictions allow and so long as it is not anti-social to do so.
Glad you've enjoyed yours, it's encouraging to know thanks.

Great, I have booked to go to Bowness on Windermere the same weekend, (when we come out of lockdown) if restrictions allow, and we are off to Norfolk for Christmas, hopefully see you on the road one day! ours is grey, when we were in Norfolk just before the lockdown we found this parked next to us!

Ours is also a Grey Spirit 122 - when we went to look I thought it was white from the dealer pictures but as soon as I saw it in grey with the black graphics I loved it. Booked into a site at Keigthley for first weekend in december and looking forward to trying it out.
