I filled the fresh water tank in my Swift motorhome and checked on the posh Swift Command system which by the way I can view from anywhere in the whole wide world (y) ;) and the fill level showed 75%, I mentioned this to the engineers today showing them it was 100% full, I was on a dead flat surface, later I had a call from the head of operations at Swift who informed me that 75% was in fact 100% so it was full.

I said that if they thought 75% was 100% then maybe that has been the problems with their quality control in that all motorhomes they are producing are finished to 75% quality, the phone went silent! WTF

My Burstner one is all over the shop. Easy to visually check so no real problem.

Mine is buried under the chassis under the front lounge area, it does however have a remote wifi controlled dump valve that I can operate from the posh Swift command system to dump any percent of water from anywhere in the world (y)

But how do you know what % you have dumped. If you dump 10% is it 10% of 100% or 75%
I guess its all or nothing, your guess is as good as mine, one day when I'm bored I might just test it checking each percent, I could pretend I was in Barbados and do a dump (y)

What's the reading when it's empty then,? Minus 25%?

Do you know what? from where I am sitting (nowhere near the motorhome) I could actually do a remote dump and then check my percent, how bldy cool is that, other than you couldn't trust a thing it showed you

From where I am sat I can switch the van lights on,open the side sliding door and flick the heating on.Mind you I am sat in the van in Spain..No need for heating?BUSBY

PLEASE don't tell me you can see the CORRECT percentage of your fresh water level without a super dooper wifi controlled command module linked via satellites to your smart phone

We also had the super duper Swift Command thingy on our PVC, (sorry to mention that in the same thread as your super Swift).

In our new motorhome I have to fill the tank until it overflows to know it is full.

Bummer!

Swift are based ooop 't north
Therefore they measure their tanks like they measure their beer

Order a pint oop north and it arrives 75% full with a 2" head of froth.
Order a pint down south and it arrives 100% full of beer, it will be at least a pint and no head!

Now if you had a German motorhome it would have a tank double the size, the problem is it would take ages to pour

Seems like you should have bought a Yank 596
I'm waiting for yours to come up for sale, from what you say its perfect for me (y) I have a unique vehicle with bespoke wonks if you would like a PX ;)

Let me guess .......? and when it’s empty you go fill it up again. Sounds a radical approach but I reckon that could work ?

Actually I’m seriously considering a Seift now as we have an experience engineer on this site, 596.
Thank you for your input I enjoy reading your threads.

Why?
Who on earth wants/needs to know their water tank level when away from the van?
Check on the rate of evaporation perhaps?
Maybe if you are flying back from Barbados and your van is at the airport, you are not flying business class so can't use the airlines arrival lounge and showers, so you check your water levels at the van, then switch on the heating if winter and also turn on the hot water, all done remotely so when you arrive you have a nice warm shower. EASY!

Oh! and turn your lights on :D

I'm not an engineer :D I am just a normal person(y)

We only have one App

It controls the hydraulic jacks, the automatic, self supporting awning, lounge and bedroom slide outs and the outside TV and surround sound system

If we need to see how much of the 300lt of water we have left? We open a cupboard door lol

Hi tech and Low tec all used appropriately

Oh and the docking and exterior lights
