Hi, I’m John and new on here,
I have a swift kontiki 2005 model .
I have got some electric problems which I’m hoping someone has knowledge of.
When starting the van my step used to come in ,my fridge switched over to battery ,my reversing camera used to work, and the power inside habitat area went off , now none of these things happen , I believe it is a fuse or relay but where ?
Thanks again and I hope someone can advise me.
Cheers
John

All those items will be controlled via the D+ terminal on the alternator. There will be a relay or relay control box connected to the D+ and the load from the units taken from the relay outputs.
Could be either the relay or the alternator that is faulty. The relay unit may be inside the 12v distribution unit or if it's outside it could be anywhere in the van.

Open the bonnet and in the centre top area of the engine bay you will see a black plastic box secured with two 10mm nuts on its front face, there will be a plastic pipe attached to the left hand end of it. Un-clip the pipe, remove the nuts and the plastic box will come off. Behind it you will find a small fusebox, usually four fuses. One of these should be a five amp fuse (Amber coloured) that is the fuse for the D+ signal.

@dave newell lvs is a good lad and always very helpful and I personally would not have found a fuse box under there without any advice. (y)
