Can anyone give an informed honest opinion of the swift 486 edge black edition

No personal knowledge, but we now hear far less about problems with Swifts than we did in the past.
It looks like a decent quality entry level 'van to me.

Welcome, can't help on that model but had an Escape 686 for several years and happy with it one main drawback was no outside access/locker for chairs/tables etc. we carried them in the toilet, then behind the cab seats and evntully realised they fitted in the stairwell, none ideal though. We used it with a maximum of 5 travelling 2 adults 3 children, was a lightweight chassis so good payload, but not able to fit a towbar. If we went back to then with the knowledge we has then would we buy again, yes. With the knowledge we have now? no but do so miss the me and you space.

Can anyone give an informed honest opinion of the swift 486 edge black edition

Our first Motorhome was a Swift. Honestly, they are not the best built motorhomes in the world. We traded ours in when my husband got sick of fixing it. We've subsequently gone for a German built motorhome.

Honestly? There's better motorhomes out there in a similar price bracket. I'd begin with the Roller Team Auto Roller 746. The overcab bed is 5ft wide and it has a separate shower.
