Just watched the the Swift Chief exec say on the BBC that orders are down at the NEC. However, he is encouraged by the number of young families looking at caravans and motorhomes even though they are not buying.

I think Motorhomers are getting younger, and we know that they are a great option for the family holiday, however if the recession gets as bad as the BBC are bigging it up to become, then those young families will struggle to buy a tent, let alone a new 40 grand motorhome from Swift.

I owned a Vango Force ten for years, I can just about imagine you and your Great Danes trying to kip in it.

Still got mine over 30 years old-what atent my kids have used it for Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.

Maybe a wooden motor home like my van picture, could be the future's cheap alternative, only need some creosote, every now and again.
