Wonder if you can help - been looking at a 1999 swift 540rs for sale, think its Royale but says Sundance on the back as well - this is the layout I like as it has the overcab bed, dinette & single sofa - its on a diesel fiat ducato 2.8 engine - is this a good base? Any particular problems that anyone knows of? What sort of mpg would you expect roughly?? There seems to be a lot of them about.......

The swift Sundances have always been a popular van, at that age get it checked for damp and look for any rust about and when was the cambelt changed?

Also the age of the tyres and any sidewall cracking

thanks Peter, and hi Tim, the Autosleeper is brill and I love it - got it to try motorhoming but ideally need more space and like the layout of the swift. I have a buyer for it but can't make my mind up......
